Arjan van Arendonk, (Not) on speaking terms, 1996, Screen print
Arjan van Arendonk transforms everyday objects and materials into works of art. For this reason, many of his artworks are created on an unconventional surface. What material does he use?
Earlier in his career, Arjan van Arendonk worked with photographys and wallpaper. Around 1990, he began to create paintings on printed fabrics. At first, these printed fabrics played an unimportant role. Over the years, this changed completely and the fabric itself became the starting point for new paintings.
